Marathon is our fastest, single-sided Braille embosser. If
your needs require the production of high volumes of Braille
on one side of a page, such as for proofreading books in
production and other high-speed applications, then the
Marathon might be the right embosser for you.
The
Marathon can emboss up to 42 Braille characters per line on
continuous form, tractor drive Braille paper. The embossing
speed of the Marathon is a blistering 200 characters per
second (cps). That's an entire single-sided page of crisp, perfect Braille
every five seconds or 700 pages per hour, the highest capacity
of Braille production anywhere in the world at the price.
The
Marathon
weighs just 75 pounds and fits neatly in its built in
aluminum case, so it can be transported safely. It comes with a
built in parallel port and serial port, and is shipped with
a USB to parallel cable for easily connecting it to your
modern computer system. Sixteen menus
allow you to customize your embosser settings, including adjusting for 6 or 8-dot Braille,
for use of a variety of
paper sizes, and it has a built-in multi-copy feature that
allows you to produce up to 99 copies of one document
automatically.
The
Marathon comes with a one-year factory warranty, USB to
parallel adapter cable, line cord, user manual & printer
driver on CD-ROM and
toll-free customer support and/or email support. Annual Service
Maintenance Agreements
(SMA)
for the Marathon are also available for purchase.
